MoveOn.Org & Sierra Club Use Terrorist Tactics on Fox News Advertisers– Republicans Should Go Shopping In Retailiation!

Liberal activists are stepping up their campaign against Fox News Channel by pressuring advertisers not to patronize the network.

MoveOn.org, the Campaign for America's Future and liberal blogs like DailyKos.com are asking thousands of supporters to monitor who is advertising on the network. Once a database is gathered, an organized phone-calling campaign will begin, said Jim Gilliam, vice president of media strategy for Brave New Films, a company that has made anti-Fox videos.

The groups have successfully pressured Democratic presidential candidates not to appear at any debate sponsored by Fox, and are also trying to get Home Depot Inc. to stop advertising there.

At least 5,000 people nationwide have signed up to compile logs on who is running commercials on Fox, Gilliam said. The groups want to first concentrate on businesses running local ads, as opposed to national commercials.

"It's a lot more effective for Sam's Diner to get calls from 10 people in his town than going to the consumer complaint department of some pharmaceutical company," Gilliam said.

Some of the videos produced by Gilliam's company compile statements made by Fox anchors and guests that the activists consider misleading, such as those that question global warming.

Representatives for Fox News Channel, which is owned by News Corp., did not immediately return calls for comment.

Home Depot has not had an unusual number of calls, said spokesman Jerry Shields, and the home improvement chain will not change its advertising strategy.

"We're not in the business of censoring media," Shields said. "We need to reach our customer base through all mediums available."

Groups like the Sierra Club have targeted Home Depot because they believe it's inconsistent for the company to promote environmentally friendly products while advertising on a network that has questioned global warming.

The groups seem particularly angry at Fox's Bill O'Reilly, who has done critical reports on left-wing bloggers. On July 16, O'Reilly said the DailyKos.com Web site is "hate of the worst order," and sent a reporter to question JetBlue Airways Corp. CEO Dave Barger about the airline's sponsorship of a gathering run by DailyKos.

He'll never ride on JetBlue again, O'Reilly said.

Fox said JetBlue has since asked that its name be removed from the DailyKos.com Web site.

MoveOn.org is campaigning against Fox because it says the network characterizes itself as a fair news network when it consistently favors a conservative point of view, said Adam Green, the organization's spokesman.

"We're not trying to silence anybody," Green said. "Rush Limbaugh has a right to be on the air _ he admits his point of view. Fox doesn't."

Fellow Republicans, whether conservative or moderate, I hope you have a whole new reason to write a letter to support Home Depot and any other "targets of opportunity" of these radical liberals

YOU need to remind these businesses of their right to advertise where they darn well choose to, and to not change how they run their fine companies in fear of these First Amendment terrorists masquerading as Democrats.

The first letter should be written by the presumably good-intentioned people who originally supported moveon.org, but idly watched it grow into a self-righteous homegrown American retail-terrorist organization hell bent on disrupting democracy and not expressing the voice of real people anymore, at least not working American people, anyway. They gave birth to this monster and it's high time it was put back in its cage, or euthanized. MoveOn.org has rabies and is foaming at the mouth.

Republicans could come to someday forgive a Democrat who spoke up now and recognized that "enough is enough" with this destruction of America through corporate terror campaigns. Our stock market doesn't need any more help falling.

It's just as likely that the Sierra Club and the likes of these pompous people will not be happy until every last American job is exported, every illegal alien has our jobs and what was once middle class America is now volunteering at the Medicaid clinic for the aliens with no health coverage (because cash under the table doesn't come with a Blue Cross/Blue Shield card,) and teaching English as a Second language. But I just forgot that the middle class workers who paid the taxes to support these generous programs just disappeared because they use to work at the old Home Deopt that had to shut its doors after the boycott.

Isn't that precisely the intent of Al-Qaeda? To disrupt us "greedy capitalists" where it hurts most– in the wallet? Thank you very much Sierra Club and moveon.org. You're actually killing American businesses and working families faster than John Kerry can flip-flop to keep up.

Just as the original founder of Green Peace wants nothing to do with the current organization for the same reasons of organizational hi-jacking, people should give their money instead to a candidate they think will do a better job than the incumbent to effect change, and not fund anarchists.

Michael Moore, Rosie O'Donnell, the liberals of the Hollywood elite and moveon.org have not a single motivation or agenda other than to harm American businesses run by good Republican people, except maybe to make themselves filthy rich in the process.

As if America doesn't have enough problems right today, we now get to hear the majority of the media boosting the limelight on these radical troublemakers, just like I'm doing now unfortunately

I hope they publish their list of stores to boycott, so I CAN MAKE MY SHOPPING LIST out and support those businesses to make any boycott they initiate into a wash financially. Then, FOX NEWS can exclusively report how the 'big boycott' of the liberals was really a huge failure like the rest of their initiatives in the first 100 days of a Democrat Congress. Oh, yeah, there weren't any initiatives... all their big mouths are busy running for President instead of running the country like they were elected to do.

Maybe Republicans should counter-boycott any business, actor, organization or movie studio who gave money to MoveOn.org? I'd like to see that list published, indeed.

Spot-On Peter! These people at moveon and sierra most certainly don't represent all democrats, but they sure are making it seem so. Until the more sensible democrats voice an opposition to it, they are all going down together in the same boat.

They're doing Osama BinLaden's work for him by hurting American businesses and American families if they were successful in their efforts.

If they don't like O'Reilly they should CHANGE THE CHANNEL. All the haters of Howard Stern didn't drive him away- they drive him to satellite in a half-billion dollar deal! So now-Howard controls the media of the future when regular FM and AM are aboloished by the FCC soon and we all have to listen to satellite.

I don't know if this is accurate or not, or just more democratic spin, but there's an email going around supposedly from Home Depot claiming to be dumping O'Reilly.

It seems way too short to be an official correspondence, and I wouldn't think Home Depot would send emails out to that effect in the first place, but look out for it.

I'm off to buy an air compressor and some painting products- at HOME DEPOT!!!
