"The list of potential candidates for the late Rep. Jo Ann Davis' 1st congressional district seat just keeps growing.

Former House of Delegates member Dick Black, a Republican from Loudoun, is now a Republican from Fredericksburg.

Black said yesterday he has moved to the area--which is in the 1st District--and is "seriously considering" a run for the seat."

Hearing that Dick Black is finally back, when there wasn't a ray of hope for my family, has recharged us here. Congress has allowed the family its rapid disintegration, like so many other countries with their Socialist agendas. Our military, with old inadequate equipment, and Washington with no decisive plan, has us mired in the 'Carter' years. Col Black(Ret) can build it back piece by piece like Reagan did.

Delegate Dick Black is one of those rare individuals who will stand on principal even to the sacrifice of self. He has true integrity and drive to accomplish the impossible. Dick is always closest to the problems and situations. That is where he is at his best. He has real wisdom. Dick exudes courage, loyalty, confidence, selfessness, sacrifice, and empathy. He understands the sacrifices and hardships of those at the bottom because he has been there step by step. Dick can and will "Walk the Talk."
