Spotsy GOP calls on Supervisor Hap Connors to File reports

Spotsylvania, VA. Today, the Spotsylvania Republican Committee called on Chancellor Supervisor Hap Connors to come into compliance with Federal and State election finance law by filing his second quarter financial reports.

"Now, everyone makes mistakes, certainly us included", noted Chairman Steve Thomas. "But for Hap Connors, a lobbyist and professional politician, to break election finance law by not filing timely reports for two consecutive quarters, is inexcusable. It is a violation of the law, it is a violation of the Code of Ethics that the county supervisors are held to, and we call on Supervisor Connors to come clean".

Not only has Supervisor Connors still not filed financial reporting forms for the second quarter of 2011, he was late filing reports for the first quarter of 2011, as well as not having filed to run for re-election as yet.

Chairman Thomas continued, "If Supervisor Connors, a man whose career has been politics for more than 25 years, does not find fit to make his required filings, it calls into question how hard he would work for the people of Chancellor if re-elected this Fall. Chancellor deserves a hardworking, fair and honest supervisor- and we hope they elect one in November."
